1. Information We Collect
Trimelria.org is a static informational site. It does not operate a user registration system, comment system, or e-commerce function. The following types of data may be collected through standard website operation:
- Server logs: IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages viewed. This data is retained in server logs for a limited period and is not used to identify individual users.
- Analytics data: If analytics tools are active, aggregated usage data (page views, session duration, geographic region at country level) may be collected. This data is not sold to third parties.
- Contact form submissions: If you use the contact form on the About page, the information you enter (name, email, phone number, message) is processed locally in your browser and is not transmitted to or stored on our servers. See the contact form section for details.
2. Cookies
This site may use cookies or browser local storage for the following purposes:
- Cookie consent preference: Your Accept or Reject choice on the cookie notice banner is stored in your browser's local storage so the notice does not reappear on subsequent visits. No data is transmitted to a server for this purpose.
- Analytics cookies: If analytics are active, a first-party or third-party analytics cookie may be set to distinguish sessions. You can reject this use of cookies using the cookie banner presented on your first visit to this site.
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers also support blocking third-party cookies by default.
3. Contact Form Data
The contact form on this site uses a JavaScript local simulation. When you submit the form, your input is validated in your browser and a confirmation message is displayed. No data from the contact form is transmitted to or stored on any server operated by Trimelria.org or any third party. The form is provided as a visual interface element only; to contact us, please use the email address provided on the About page.
4. Third-Party Links and Resources
This site links to third-party websites including Parks Canada, Birds Canada, and Wikimedia Commons. These sites operate under their own privacy policies. Trimelria.org is not responsible for the privacy practices of linked external sites. Images hosted on Wikimedia Commons servers are loaded directly from those servers; Wikimedia's privacy policy applies to those requests.
5. Google Fonts
This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Google's servers receive a request that includes your IP address and browser information each time a page is loaded. Google's privacy policy governs this data collection. To avoid this, you can use a browser extension that blocks Google Fonts requests.
6. Data Retention
Server log data is retained according to the hosting provider's standard retention policies, typically between 30 and 90 days. No personal data is retained by Trimelria.org beyond standard server log periods.
7. Your Rights
If you are located in a jurisdiction with applicable data protection legislation (including Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, PIPEDA, or the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation), you may have rights regarding access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data. Given that this site collects minimal data and retains no contact form submissions, most requests can be addressed by contacting us at contact@trimelria.org.
8. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in site functionality or applicable legal requirements. The date of the most recent update appears at the bottom of this page.
